Our little Ballerina

Claire takes tap and ballet now on Tuesdays.  She loves it.  Four year old + tutu = adorable.

Christmas is my favorite

I think my kiddos are so cute! Here is some proof.

Claire Bear

Tyler
(this is the best one I could get. Either he is smiling and looking away from the camera, or he is looking at the camera but not smiling...Oh well, still cute!)

We like Seattle too

In front of Pike's Market at the pig.  We saw some fish fly.  It was a good day!

I love these people

Yeah, We like it here. They Have animals!

Just a few updates:
Joe was promoted and is now the branch manager of the Enumclaw Washington Wells Fargo.  He has worked hard.  We feel very blessed and are proud of him.
Claire and Tyler LOVE it here.  The grandparents, the dogs, church, Claire's ballet class, new friends and exciting places.
I am loving life as a mommy and having fun exploring with my family.
One of the many things we have done lately is explore the little town where Joe now works.  Enumclaw is about twenty minutes southeast of Maple Valley.  It reminds me of Idaho.  It is a farming community, mostly.  We went down to a farm that sells fresh milk and eggs.  The kids got to see some of the animals.

A sweet grandpa moment.

Claire likes Cats.  Luckily, I am allergic.

Life is good.  I love my sweet little Family!

Ho Ho Ho...We saw the Big man in red!

Claire asked for a Baby Alive doll and Tyler wants a blue truck.

We Moved!

We are here!  A few weeks ago Joseph put in for a transfer to Washington so that we could be closer to family and he got it!  He also was offered an oppurtunity to go into a management training program.  We feel very blessed that in these hard economic times Joseph has still been able to find employment and even a promotion.  We feel like this is where we are supposed to be.  We got here a few days ago.  We live in Maple Valley which is just east of Seattle with my parents until we can find somewhere here to settle in.  We love it but are starting to really miss all of our good friends.  It is really beautiful here.  There are trees EVERYWHERE! It reminds me of living on the east coast.  We have been in Idaho so long that we have to get used to all of these trees everywhere again.
I registered for school yesterday. Since we will have my parents so close, my mom is going to watch my kids while I go to school.  I start January 4th.  I am going into nursing.  I am doing the LPN for now, but hopefully someday an RN.  The school is called Green River Community College.  Wish me luck!
I am so grateful for all of our friends in Idaho.  We will miss you all so much.  Thank you for your friendship.  It means so much to us.  You guys are what we will miss most about Idaho.  Hopefully we can keep in touch and see eachother again.

Lots of Love,
The Scalese Family

And here, the new style.  Not bad after seeing the before pics of the style she crafted herself.  We love her.

Be careful what you wish for

I was thinking today that I might not have anything interesting to update my blog with and wan't sure what my next post would be about.  Well, be careful what you wish for.  Today Claire CHOPPED OFF a ton of her hair.  Yeah. I cried. It was a gruesome discovery.  I had just gotten Tyler up from his nap and was changing him from a diaper to his big boy underpants.  When we came back downstairs there she was, with a huge pile of her beautiful long brown hair surrounding her on the ground.  At first I didn't realize what she had done.  As soon as she looked up at me she asked "Mommy, do I look like a boy?"  I don't think that was her intention, rather a realization after the fact of what she had done.  I tried not to totally break down in tears so as not to scare the children but I couldn't help crying a little.  You see, my Claire had such beautiful long hair and it takes FOREVER to grow. I have only ever cut her hair once! That was just to even it out, never to shorten it. So, we took her to a salon and a very nice lady fixed it the best way that she could.  It reminds me of a 1960's type bob, or if you have ever seen the movie All Dogs Go To Heaven, the little girls hair cut in that movie.  Alas, there is nothing to do but wait.  Of course I think she is still cute, I mean she is our little Claire bear.  And we will love her with short hair, long hair or no hair at all.

Hi It's me...
